Cookie Policy

Slate Labs Ltd ("Slate Labs", "we") keeps cookies and similar storage to the bare minimum. We are a software company that licenses a CRM and a trading platform to licensed brokers and proprietary trading firms; our marketing site is a B2B shopfront, not a tracking operation. This policy explains exactly what we store, what we deliberately do not, and how you stay in control.
Our approach to cookies
We use only what is essential. The marketing site at slate-labs.com sets no cookies of its own, and we run no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies anywhere on it.
Where storage is used at all, it exists to make the service work, not to watch you. If something isn't strictly necessary to deliver what you asked for, we don't store it.
What we actually use
The broker/IB portal uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in. It stores a refresh token in your browser's localStorage and keeps the access token in memory for the duration of your session. That's the whole of it, and only for contracted customers who hold portal accounts.
Cloudflare, which provides our hosting, CDN, and security, may set strictly-necessary security cookies to protect the site and route traffic safely. These are operational, not analytical.
What we do not use
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible or PostHog, and no Meta pixel.
We do not engage in cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share personal data for advertising. The only storage on the site is the essential kind described above.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist to ask permission for non-essential cookies, typically analytics and advertising. We don't use any.
Because we rely solely on essential and strictly-necessary storage, which does not require consent, there is nothing to opt into, so we don't show a banner.
Managing cookies and storage
You stay in control through your browser settings, which let you view, block, and clear cookies and local storage at any time.
Clearing the portal's storage will sign you out, since the tokens that keep you signed in are exactly what gets removed. You can simply sign in again afterward.
